Was Christian Obumseli’s Death A Grisly Murder or Self Defense?
Christian Obumseli suffered from an apparent knife wound in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. Reportedly, police were called about a domestic dispute overheard in the apartment on April 3rd 2022. Christian Obumseli’s friends and family think his girlfriend, 25-year-old Courtney Tailor aka Courtney Clenney, is to blame for fatally stabbing him.
Tailor’s attorney also recently declared that his client acted in self-defense in a recent statement, but who is to blame? The Shade Room’s investigative reporter Justin Carter explores these conflating allegations and more in his latest episode of TSR Investigates.
Christian Obumseli’s Cousin Jessica Nwabuko Speaks On His Murder
Carter exclusively spoke with Obumseli’s cousin Jessica Nwabuko about his untimely death and its controversies. Visibly upset over the tragedy, Jessica addressed what she believes happened to her cousin that fateful day. She also talked about the public’s perception of Christian and his offensive tweets about Black women not being his dating preference that were unearthed on social media.
Obumseli’s brother has already addressed his offensive tweets, now Jessica has more to add.
Jessica defended her cousin when asked about his tweets stating,
“He was 17-years-old. He was a high school kid. I’m pretty sure that everybody who was young was just saying senseless things and not thinking anything of it. I just think his dating preference [is] white women.
Jessica adds that Christians tweets don’t justify him being killed.
“I’ll just say that I never knew he was tweeting those things back then, but that doesn’t mean he should die or be murdered.”
