On Monday, Young Thug was arrested at his Atlanta-area Buchkhead home on RICO charges and taken into custody where he’s currently being held in Fulton County Jail.

The 88-page indictment names Young Thug and Gunna, along with 26 individuals, alleging they participated in street gang activity while being part of Young Slime Life, a street gang, also known as YSL.

With the 56-count indictment, social media posts and song lyrics play a huge role in charging the rappers for said crimes.
According to the indictment, lyrics from Young Thug’s hit single, ‘Ski,’ are being used as evidence. The lyrics prosecutors say are “an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy” are:
I f**k with slatts and we come to ear rats and I came with fuckin’ piranhas. The indictment also lists, “I tote an FN on me, call Neechi-Neech, it’s a Glock he keep…Duke Rollin’ 60’s, he’s locked in the C’s.
Prosecutors also state that Young Thug released a song titled, “Slatty” which also details his alleged crimes.
I killed his man in front of his momma, life f**k lil bruh, sister and his cousin.
Authorities also suggest that a few other lyrics from the single prove conspiracy.

In another song, ‘Anybody,’ Young Thug raps:
I never killed anybody but I got something to do with that body. told them to shoot a hundred rounds.
The court documents also show multiple photos from social media that were posted by the alleged members of YSL. In one instance, Young Thug posted a photo and tagged YFN Lucci in March of 2019.

In the caption, Young Thug wrote, in part:
yfn if ain like you what u do for your mohter and kids I WOULDVE BEEN KILLED U.
As previously reported, associates of Thug’s are being accused of obtaining permission from the rapper to make a second attempt to kill YFN Lucci while he’s currently awaiting trial for murder and racketeering charges.
As you know, Lucci alleges he was actually stabbed in February while on a video call back.
Young Thug is due in court on Tuesday.
