Since her sister’s passing, Michelle Miller explained that her family has been working relentlessly to retain a high-profile attorney. Additionally, she says that her family “has no plans to back down.”
According to TMZ, the Miller family believes that Brandy’s death could have been prevented. Her brother, who was also present at the concert, watched from a different area and explained that the show “was total pandemonium from the very beginning.”
Brandy Miller’s Family Spoke Out Immediately After Her Death
Brandy Miller’s boyfriend, Eric Smith, spoke exclusively with WHAM after the news of her passing was revealed. He explained that he was still processing “confused” feelings regarding the concert-turned-tragedy.
“It’s just got me confused. Somebody can spend their money and buy a ticket to go have a good time, and you’re buying a ticket for your own death.”
As The Shade Room previously reported, concert-goers began to rush toward the venue’s exit after they said they heard gunshots being fired inside the venue. However, police found no evidence of gunfire.
Smith explained that imagining his girlfriend in that scenario is what hurts him the most.
“What really hurts is imagining the fear and the panic that was going through her head when she actually did fall and was feeling all the pressure from the feet on top of her.”
Miller’s sister, Michelle, says she doesn’t blame the concert promoters for her sister’s death. But believes that “negligence” played a huge role in this tragedy and that the parties involved need to be held responsible.
“I’m not blaming the promoters because they didn’t push her on the ground or walk over here. But there are steps in place to prevent negligence in everything you do in life, and that’s just that.”
On March 7, WHAM also spoke with Brandy Miller’s father off-camera. At the time, he revealed that he hadn’t heard from anyone from the Rochester Main Street Armory. Or from GloRilla, and any of her team members.
More Shocking Details Regarding Miller’s Death
On March 8, News10NBC published an interview with Miller’s family. During the interview, Brandy Miller’s father declared that his daughter was “murdered.”
“She was murdered — she was stepped on, trampled on…
The outlet explained that Miller was standing “near the front of the stage” when the crowd surged. Additionally, when Miller was trampled, she was separated from her identification and cell phone.
This left Miller’s whereabouts unknown to her family and friends. Additionally, doctors told the Miller family that Brandy laid on the ground for approximately 25-35 mins before paramedics could make their way inside the venue and help the victims.
Miller’s father further explained his thoughts.
“How you gonna try to let 5,000 people out one door? She didn’t stand a chance once she fell on the floor… And it’s said, you would think people would try to pick her up and help her up but they didn’t.”
At the end of the interview, Miller’s sister revealed that her family still hadn’t heard from any officials, nor GloRilla or her team regarding Brandy’s death.
The Miller Family Is Not Letting Brandy’s Death Be In Vain
In an interview with News 8 WROC, the Miller family revealed that Brandy was a certified nursing assistant. Moving forward, the family is focused on paying homage to Brandy’s legacy, one that her sister says was positive and uplifting.
“She was just happy — a happy person… My sister is a Black, strong, African American hero today and in her death she still stands a hero.”
Additionally, the Miller family revealed that Brandy’s heart, liver, and kidneys were donated to save the lives of four other people.
