Latto is reportedly nearing completion of a 1-year diversion program regarding gun safety. According to TMZ, the rapper started the program in April 2022, after she was arrested and charged with carrying a loaded firearm. As well as carrying a concealed weapon at LAX Airport in May 2021.
Completion of the gun safety program will reportedly allow “both charges” to be “dismissed,” as reported by the outlet.

Latto Revealed The Arrest To Her Fans In A Song Feature
The 24-year-old revealed details of the arrest to her fans via a new song called “Boom, Pt. 2.” Latto joins the original artist, Mello Buckzz, on the track, and in her verse, she details the incident.

Fans were quick to question Latto about the arrest, as she had only spoken publicly about being arrested in August 2020 during an interview with Fader. The arrest was due to a “mistaken identity.”
Latto went on to explain to her fans that this was another instance.
“Nah that was in Atlanta lol I was profiled for “looking like” sum b***h that robbed a n***a… I’m not no robber man jail is NOT for me btw.”
One fan replied to Latto, saying that they needed more “insight” on the new story.
“Went to LAX w a loaded glock 17 in my Birk got locked & let out in a few hours lmaooo booked a $75k jet to my show in Alabama & still made it on time! no cap in my rap TUH”
The Aftermath Of Latto’s Revelation
After the rapper detailed the incident, social media users began to chastise her for “flexing” the arrest.

However, Latto didn’t let the opinions phase her.

The Fate Of Her Loaded Gun Case
In addition, it seems the rapper’s arrest won’t affect her either. According to TMZ, the rapper started a year-long gun safety program in April 2022, almost one year after her arrest at LAX airport.
Law enforcement sources informed the outlet that the program required the rapper to complete the course, perform 120 hours of community service, and “avoid all firearms.”
Additionally, a court hearing is set in April to determine whether Latto has successfully completed all of the requirements. If so, both charges against the 24-year-old will be dismissed.
