Mathew Knowles Says Beyoncé & Solange Were “Always” Interested In Entertainment
During a recent sit-down with Us Weekly, Knowles said he believes he “taught by example” when raising his kids.
Like past commentary on his famous children’s upbringing, Mathew highlighted the importance of helping young ones uncover their interests. He recalled exposing Beyoncé and Solange to various experiences to discover “what they gravitated towards.”
“We’d take them to NASA, we would take them to science fairs, we’d take them to a library. We’d take them to sporting events [and] entertainment, and we wanted to see what they gravitated towards.”
To help encourage and inspire his daughters, he would tell them, “One day, you’re gonna go to your passion, and you try to do that sooner than later.”
Of course, Mathew was sure to note that his daughters were “always” most interested in “entertainment.” As a result, he made it a mission to help his children pursue their dreams, and the rest is superstar history.
Mathew Says He Would “Love To See” Destiny’s Child Put Out “One Last Album”
Aside from this recent commentary on parenting, Mathew also spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the possibility of a potential Destiny’s Child reunion.
While he outright declared that the matter’s “a decision that the ladies would have to make,” Mathew said he would “certainly support that decision.”
After all, as he “still manage[s] Destiny’s Child,” Knowles “would love to see that.” Additionally, he noted the prospect of “one last album” would leave fans “overjoyed.”
“I think the fans will be just overjoyed, overwhelmed. And, hopefully, they do one last time in their career. Hopefully they give us one last album.”
He wrapped up his statements by coyly proclaiming, “You never know…A lot of things can happen.”
“Who knows? You never know. You never say it can’t happen because this is entertainment. A lot of things can happen.”
