An Atlanta-based Navy vet named Dynzell Sigers, 27, dropped a BAG to go from 5’5″ to 6’0″ — and he says he was inspired to go thru with the limb-lengthening surgery after getting rejected for being “too short.”

He Got The Limb-Lengthening Surgery Years After Being Called “Too Short”

Sigers recently discussed the cosmetic procedure during a sit-down with NeedToKnow, per PEOPLE. Additionally, he’s also been chronicling the experience through his TikTok account, @mrbrokenbonez.

He began his surgery journey in December, which set him back a total of $81,000. However, considering his experiences with “being judged or not accepted,” Dynzell was gladly ready to pay the cost.

“I was always a very shy and reserved child and was always afraid to be myself for fear of being judged or not accepted.”

Specifically, Dynzell noted that he was inspired to get the surgery on account of lingering memories from being rejected as a teen for being “too short and too young.”

“In my teens, I was once rejected by a girl I had a huge crush on, and although she found me attractive, her reasoning was that I was too short and too young for her.”

While the rejection happened during his teenage years, Sigers said he “clung” to it and remained self-conscious about his height.

“I clung to that and always considered my height before approaching women, which often caused me to miss out on opportunities.”

He Says The Recovery Process Was “Smooth” Despite Relearning To Walk TWICE

As a result of the insecurity, he “booked [his] appointment right away” once he heard of the leg-lengthening surgery, which has been informally dubbed the “BBL for men.”

“I’ve looked for many different ways to get taller over the years, but there were never any realistic options. I found out about limb lengthening and booked my appointment right away.”

In fact, to grow seven inches taller, he traveled to Turkey to undergo the procedure twice. He also had to learn how to walk again after both surgeries.

Nonetheless, Dynzell Sigers says the process was “smooth” and totally worth it.

“My recovery process has been very smooth… I had to relearn how to walk twice, but both times it didn’t take long.”

How Is The “Men’s BBL” Performed?

As The Shade Room previously reported, the popular surgery was recently described as “men’s BBL” by social media users.

According to Penn Medicine, the procedure is made possible thanks to “controlled lengthening over a period of time.” This is achieved by inserting a “magnetic lengthening rod and pins” into the bone, which will be lengthened at a rate of “0.5mm a day.”
