The Former Podcaster Was Equally As Defiant As He Left Courtroom, Calls Ave’s Testimony “Complete Lies”
Meanwhile, journalist Shawn Setaro was at the hearing on Tuesday and reported the former podcaster was equally defiant as he left the courtroom, calling half of what Troy Ave said on the stand “complete lies.”
“Taxstone gave a defiant statement during the hearing,” Setaro tweeted. “His final words were, ‘Half the stuff that was told on the stand by Troy Ave is a complete lie to protect himself from going to jail.’ The judge was absolutely clear in stating his belief that during the trial… Taxstone was ‘obviously’ engaged in ‘the procurement of false testimony.’”

The Shooting: A Brief Recap Of The Night In Question
The shooting stemmed from an apparent feud between Tax and rapper Troy Ave. Ave was wounded in the incident, and his bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, was killed after sustaining a gunshot wound to the chest.
Two others were seriously wounded in the shooting, The Shade Room previously reported.
The shootings occurred during a T.I. concert at Irving Plaza in Manhattan in 2016.
Troy Ave was initially arrested for attempted murder in the case.
But those charges were later dropped after Taxstone’s DNA was found on the gun’s trigger. Taxstone himself was then arrested and charged in connection to the crime.
If you recall, The Shade Room reported in March that Taxstone was found guilty of manslaughter.
