Britney Spears Continues To Await Public Apology After Getting Smacked

The “Gimme More” singer acknowledged the situation in an Instagram video posted on Tuesday night (Jul. 11).

She specifically zeroed in on claims that she “deserved to be smacked” as the security guard was “protecting their client.”

In response, Britney Spears pointed out that her security guards never touched fans in all her years in the spotlight.

“I’ve been with the most famous people in the world… My security not one time touched them or even came near them.”

She connected this point to others’ stances on the matter by stating that she did not deserve to get backhanded in the face.

“I didn’t appreciate the people saying that I deserved to be hit. Because no woman deserves to be hit.”

Britney Spears wrapped up by confirming, “I did get an apology at my table 30 minutes later, but I have yet to receive a public apology.”

Here’s The Rundown On The Situation Between Britney & Victor Wembanyama

Britney’s commentary is the latest development in the situation, which went down last week.

As The Shade Room reported, Britney was cited as tapping Victor from behind in an effort to get his attention during a Vegas run-in. In turn, witnesses said they saw a security guard accompanying Victor smack Britney Spears in the face.

As word of the incident began to spread online, Victor Wembanyama shared his side of the story and confirmed, “Something did happen.”

Specifically, the 19-year-old NBA rookie said Britney “grabbed [him] from behind.” He then said that the security guard “pushed her away,” though Victor ultimately “thought it was no big deal.”

Shortly thereafter, Britney broke her silence via her Instagram Story.

She refuted Victor’s claim that she “grabbed” him and doubled down on merely “tapp[ing] him on the shoulder.”

After recalling being backhanded, Britney noted that the entire situation was “embarrassing.” Nonetheless, she was determined to speak out and “urge people in the public eye to set an example and treat all people with respect.”

At the time, she also stated, “I have yet to get a public apology from the player, his security or the organization.”

We should also add that Britney Spears’ husband, Sam Asghari, dished on the ordeal through his IG Story, too.

Notably, the 29-year-old slammed the accused assailant as an “out-of-control security guard.”

Roomies, what do you think about the overall situation?
