Guy Fieri Shares Requirements For His Children To Inherit His Millions
On December 12, Fox News published a video clip of an exclusive sitdown with Fieri. During the conversation, the 55-year-old explained that he’s instilling a pivotal lesson he learned from his dad in his children.
“I’ve told them the same thing my dad told me. My dad says, ‘When I die, you can expect that I’m going to die broke, and you’re going to be paying for the funeral.’ And I told my boys, ‘None of this that I’ve been building are you going to get unless you come and take it from me,'” Fieri explained to the outlet.
Additionally, the 55-year-old explained that he’s also taking a precedent from former NBA player Shaquille O’Neal.
“Shaq said it best. Shaq said, ‘If you want this cheese, you got to get to two degrees.’ Well, my two degrees mean, you know, postgraduate. So, they’re on their way.”
Postgraduate education refers to the study period to achieve an advanced degree after first securing an undergraduate degree, per Indeed.
According to Fox 59, Fieri’s eldest son, Hunter, and his nephew are on their way to securing two degrees. Hunter is reportedly enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Miami, while Fieri’s nephew is a law student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.
Fieri explained that his youngest son, Ryder, is about to embark on the “unfair” quest to secure his first of two degrees.
“He’s like, ‘Dad, this is so unfair. I haven’t even gone to college yet, and you’re already pushing that I’ve got to get an MBA? Can I just get through college?'” Fieri explained, recalling Ryder’s sentiments.
