Here’s What Happened On The Court With Angel Reese
According to The Athletic, Reese received a personal foul for a move on Liberty player Jonquel Jones. When she tried to dispute the call with an official, her approach got her another foul, double technical this time. Ultimately, the stacked fouls meant she had to sit out the rest of the game.
Her first technical foul was for “disrespectfully” speaking to the court official Charles Watson. Meanwhile, the second technical foul was for protesting with her hands to the first foul with “resentment.”
“Since these were two separate acts, the combination of two technicals resulted in Angel Reese being ejected from the game,” lead official Maj Forsberg said, per The Athletic.

Lonzo Ball Steps In
NBA player Lonzo showed Angel Reese some support amid her first game ejection of her rookie season. On X (formerly Twitter), she shared that he’s willing to pay the fine.
“Ref that threw out @Reese10Angel is weak, btw… You know who you are (Keep ya money Angel I got you),” Lonzo Ball wrote.
Reese replied, “[pink heart, crying emojis] appreciate you gang!”
So, how much will Lonzo have to pay? The Athletic reports that WNBA fines are capped at $200 each for the first three technical fouls of the season. In Angel’s case, her bill totals at $400.

Despite her team’s 88-75 loss and her temporary benchwarmer status, Angel Reese did her thing on the court. In 24 minutes, she collected 10 rebounds and ultimately walked away with 13 points.
This isn’t the first time the WNBA has fined Reese. Earlier this week, she was fined $1,000 for failing to take media questions after a game against Indiana Fever. Her team, Chicago Sky, also has to pay $5,000 for their player’s no-show.
Angel has been a hot topic on social media in the last week, along with Caitlin Clark and the public’s perception of a riff between the rookies. Most recently she spoke on her impact on the rising social popularity in WNBA games and players this season.
