Snoop Dogg didn’t hold back while giving Kendrick Lamar his props for his viral Juneteenth concert. He seemed to be addressing social media users who questioned whether he was in attendance.

If you missed it, K. Dot took the stage at the Forum in Los Angeles for his “Pop Out” concert produced by Amazon. The three-hour spectacle was live-streamed by Twitch, but hundreds of fans and plenty of familiar celebrity faces, from LeBron James to Russell Westbrook and North West, enjoyed it in person.

The concert seemed to be a collective of celebrating Los Angeles culture, promoting unity in the streets, and doubling down on his “hate” for Drizzy.

Two days after the concert, Snoop Dogg shared his official thoughts on Kenny’s performance. He said the show was “beautiful” and “fun to watch.”

“Beautiful to see all of my peoples come together, and K. Dot, you are the King of the West. That’s the kind of sh*t kings do, we unite. We bring our peoples together,” he said.

Here’s How The West Coast Legend Previously Reacted To Kendrick & Drake’s Beef

For context, Snoop seemed to initially steer clear of Kendrick and Drake’s rap beef when it escalated to back-to-back diss tracks in April. He spoke out when Drizzy used his and Tupac’s AI-generated vocals in one of his clapback disses titled ‘Taylor Made Freestyle.’  At the time, Snoop shared a cryptic message, seemingly expressing confusion. However, he didn’t explicitly shut down the record.

Meanwhile, Tupac’s estate wasted no time shooting, threatening the Canadian rapper with a lawsuit if he didn’t remove the track. He reacted by deleting the record from his social media profiles. It never made it to streaming platforms.

Then, in May, Snoop Dogg gave both men their flowers for “raising the bar” in hip hop but made it clear their beef was not his business. He told Entertainment Tonight the following:

“Well, the only thing I want to say about that whole scenario is that I want to give both of them a shout-out for raising the bar as far as lyrics, as far as song-making and writing because the writing has been upped since the confrontation or whatever you call it, whatever they went through. Those are my nephews. I’m not in the middle of it. I support both of them and that’s personal business, not my business,” Snoop explained.

Charlamagne Tha God Also Crowned Kendrick King

Snoop isn’t the only public figure to crown K. Dot, king of hip hop! Charlamagne Tha God expressed similar sentiments during a segment with his ‘Breakfast Club’ hosts, DJ Envy and Jess Hilarious. Charla explained that the performance was deeper than Kenny hating Drake. Instead, the three-hour show represented Lamar solidifying his hip hop legacy, per the radio host.

“To me the show wasn’t about Drake as much it was about Kendrick Lamar becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of hip hop. Like, when it comes to this new generation, we’ve been watching over the last fifteen years, Kendrick is the king of hip hop and its not even close. I’m not talking about charts, I’m not talking about streaming records, I’m not talking about pop songs, singing on songs, I’m talking about bars, rap, hip hop, culture. Kendrick wears that crown and its not even close,” Charlamagne Tha God said.

He added that Kendrick “set the tone” and came to “blood and crip-walk on his enemy’s head-top.”

Meanwhile, on Thursday, another West Coast rapper cleared the air on about his absence from Kendrick Lamar’s show. Like Snoop, The Game gave Kenny his props, calling the performance “amazing for the West Coast.” Though he called Kenny “big-hearted,” he also doubled down on his loyalty to Drake.
