Plies is looking for his credit and coin and he’s going through the legal system in his attempt to get it. On Wednesday (Nov. 6), the rapper filed a lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla for their ‘Wanna Be’ track. Now, producer Max Julian, better known as LilJuMadeDaBeat, is clearing the air on the song’s credits. Max is a longtime collaborator of Megan’s but is not listed in this song’s credits.

According to TMZ, Plies accuses Glo and Meg of jacking the countdown beat from his 2008 song, ‘Me & My Goons.’ The lawsuit also reportedly names Megan’s Hot Girl Productions and the record labels Universal Music Group, Collective Music Group, and Interscope as defendants.

Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla aren’t the only ones that Plies is suing. Soulja Boy is also a defendant for his song, ‘Pretty Boy Swag.’ Like Meg and Glo, Plies’ paperwork accuses Soulja of ripping off the beat for his 2010 anthem.

He’s seeking damages based on copyright infringement. Though TMZ reports that a win on Plies’ end could earn him “plenty of shiny pennies,” the outlet didn’t specify how much.

GloRilla Shares Message After Lawsuit, Megan’s Producer Speaks Out

About an hour after TMZ first reported Plies’ lawsuit, GloRilla shared a cryptic post on social media. She wrote, “Common sense is so needed,” on X (formerly Twitter). Megan Thee Stallion and Soulja Boy seemingly haven’t shared any reactions to the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, Megan’s producer LilJuMadeDaBeat, had a couple of things to get off his chest and did so on X. He quoted TMZ’s post about Plies’ lawsuit with a couple of release facts.

“‘My Dougie’ came it in 2006, ‘Me & My Goons’ came it in 2008. Big E, the producer of ‘My Dougie’ is credited on ‘Wanna Be.'”

In a follow-up post, LilJuMadeDaBeat also spoke about Soulja Boy’s anthem being named in the suit. “For the Record ‘Pretty Boy Swag’ is a remake of ‘My Dougie’ as well. Soulja Boy is on the ‘My Dougie’ Remix. ‘Me & My Goons’ literally not even the single for that Plies album,” the producer wrote.

While Plies has checked in online about Kamala Harris’ defeat in the presidential election, he has not addressed his copyright infringement lawsuit.
