According to PEOPLE, Schwarz recently pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of his 8-year-old adoptive daughter. Per the outlet, he was sentenced to 18 years behind bars.
Furthermore, PEOPLE notes that his wife, Ashley Schwarz, was convicted of capital murder on May 1, 2023. She was reportedly sentenced to life without parole.

Per the outlet, on August 29, 2020, police were called to the Schwarz home and found Jaylin Anne deceased. Subsequently, an investigation revealed that “as punishment,” the 8-year-old “was not allowed to eat breakfast and was required to jump on the trampoline without stopping for an extended period of time.”
Additionally, Schwarz and his wife were reportedly accused of not allowing Anne to drink water or eat food. Furthermore, the surface temperature of the trampoline was reportedly found to be 110 degrees, per USA Today. The New York Post reports that the ground’s temperature was reportedly 150 degrees.
Per PEOPLE, the child’s autopsy asserted that she passed away from “dehydration.” The manner of her death was reportedly ruled as “dehydration.”

A Mother In Missouri Has Been Charged In Her Toddler’s Death
A mother in Missouri has also made headlines for her alleged actions toward her child. As The Shade Room previously reported, Alyssa Wehmeyer’s 1-year-old reportedly passed away after not being fed for over 40 hours. Furthermore, the infant’s possible cause of death was reportedly listed as dehydration.
Wehemyer was ultimately taken into custody and charged with child neglect.
