According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Suzanna’s Kitchen, a Norcross-based food company, issued a recall “for ready-to-eat grilled chicken breast fillets.” This, reportedly, after a third-party laboratory noticed the presence of “Listeria monocytogenes” in the food item.

Per the outlet, over 13,000 pounds of the chicken are being recalled. Although the chicken was manufactured in Georgia, it was reportedly distributed across Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Ohio.

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the recall specifically impacts 10-pound cases of chicken produced on October 14, 2025. The lot code for these cases is: 60104 P1382 287 5 J14. Click here to see the item’s food product label.

More On The Possible Listeria Contamination

Per the outlet, as of January 16, there have not been confirmed reports of illness linked to the chicken recall. However, the Food & Safety Inspection Service is still urging commercial units and consumers to keep an eye out for the product, as it could be sitting in freezers and refrigerators waiting to be sold or consumed. If encountered, the products should be thoroughly discarded immediately.

Fox 5 Atlanta reports that symptoms of “Listeria monocytogenes” can range from fever, muscle aches, and headaches to stiffness, loss of balance, and convulsions. Those with weakened immune systems may also be more susceptible to infection. Lastly, the outlet reports that symptoms can appear anytime between three and seventy days after consumption.

Before The Frozen Chicken Breasts Recall, Cheese Was Also Recalled Due To Listeria Contamination

As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, a nationwide recall was issued on multiple cheese products. “Listeria monocytogenes” was also detected in the products. However, no illnesses were reported in connection with the contamination as of January 11.
