More On The Trial & Upcoming Sentencing
As The Shade Room previously reported, the defense rested its case on August 27. Per CNN, prosecutors argued that Duane “Keffe D” Davis went “hunting” for Tupac Shakur following a fight between the rap star and his nephew, Orlando Anderson, at the MGM Grand on September 7, 1996. Keffe reportedly called himself the “shot caller” of the search, alongside the now-deceased Anderson and two other men. However, Keffe’s defense argued that although he shared statements about the subsequent fatal shooting over the years, he was telling “fiction.”
Per the outlet, Keffe D will be sentenced on October 13. AP News reports that after the guilty verdict was announced, the 63-year-old said he intends to appeal.
