Jalen Hurts is reportedly out for the rest of the season. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was placed on the injured reserve list after doctors found blood clots in his lungs.

Doctors Find Blood Clots In Jalen Hurts’ Lungs
Jalen Hurts is out for the rest of the football season, according to the Bleacher Report. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is on the injured reserve due to multiple blood clots in his lungs. Furthermore, Hurts is expected to go through three months of treatments for the blood clots. The quarterback was first diagnosed with a blood clot in his calf, per ESPN.
Hurt’s agent, Nicole Lynn, shared a statement on X noting that he had been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli in London.
“The current diagnosis is a deep vein thrombosis,” she wrote. “As well as bilateral pulmonary emboli. He is clinically stable and has no significant functional limitations… Jalen’s prognosis is very good, and we expect a full recovery… We anticipate that he will have the opportunity to resume contact football activities when off the blood thinners. In the meantime, he will remain active around the team and continue to condition. More importantly, we anticipate that he will have no long-term effects.”
According to NBC News, Hurts played last on Sunday, October 11 in London. The Eagles also released a statement, per Bleacher Report stating that doctors said Hurts could “safely play” on October 11.
“Out of an abundance of caution, an ultrasound was performed on Saturday following the team’s flight to London and walkthrough,” reads the statement. “The ultrasound revealed a superficial blood clot. Our medical staff and doctors in London reviewed the results and concluded that activity and mobility were important and that Jalen could safely play. Doctors recommended a follow-up ultrasound within 72 hours of the game and the return flight to Philadelphia… On Wednesday night, a follow-up ultrasound revealed movement in the small blood clot. Jalen will be out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers as we determine the appropriate course of treatment. His health and safety are our highest priority.”

Jalen Hurts Got Married In 2025
The Shade Room reported that Hurts got married to his college sweetheart, Bry Burrows, in the spring of 2025. The duo began dating as students at the University of Alabama back in 2017, and Hurts proposed on the beach. The scene included red roses and petals, lit candles, and a musician playing a violin.
“I knew a long time ago,” Hurts said about his wife, per Essence. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”
